What is Server Cloning?

Server cloning is an efficient instance deployment capability. By taking a full snapshot of the source server, the system can rapidly generate a new instance with exactly the same configuration as the source server. The new instance will fully inherit the source server's operating system, application configurations, login passwords, and all data, making it suitable for quickly setting up server environments by deploying multiple servers.

Supported Source Server States for Cloning:

Normal State: The server is running stably, and all data can be read completely.

Precautions for Server Cloning:

During the execution of a cloning task (which typically takes 2 - 10 minutes), it is prohibited to perform operations such as upgrading the source server, installing plugins, or modifying configurations. Doing so may lead to data inconsistency or cloning failure. It is necessary to wait until the new instance is successfully deployed before making any configuration or upgrade changes.
